My Journey

Hello, I’m Sharon.

I’ve been walking with Reiki for thirty years. Not as a technique I learned and then taught — but as a living practice that has shaped who I am, how I see the world, and how I show up for the people I work with.

In that time, Reiki has carried me through grief and joy, through motherhood and uncertainty, through the big moments and the quiet ordinary ones. It has never let me down. And it is that lived experience — not just my training — that I bring into every session, every workshop, and every conversation.

I’m a Reiki Master Teacher trained in both the Western and Traditional Japanese lineages, a Reflexologist, a Munay Ki Practitioner, and an Oracle — dedicated as a Priestess Oracle of the Goddess in 2025. These are not separate things. They are all expressions of the same intention: to hold a sacred space where you can return to yourself.

I believe that healing is not something that happens to you. It is something that arises when you are truly met — seen, held, and given the space to remember what you already know.

That is what I offer at Heartwood Healing.

Whether you come for a Reiki session, a Reflexology treatment, the Munay Ki Rites, to learn or teach Reiki yourself — you are welcome here, exactly as you are.

My Path

I received my first Reiki attunement in 1998 and haven’t stopped since.

I trained as a Reiki Master Teacher in India in 2001, and spent many years teaching from that foundation. But over time I felt drawn to go deeper — to understand how Mikao Usui, the founder of Reiki, originally taught this system in Japan in the 1920s. 

That search led me to the Traditional Japanese lineage — Usui Reiki Ryōhō — and eventually to completing my Shinpiden training with Frans Stiene at the International House of Reiki in 2024. It changed everything about how I teach and practise.

Alongside Reiki, I have practised Reflexology since 1999 and hold qualifications in fertility reflexology, lymphatic drainage, ear reflexology, foot reading, and reflexology for menopause. I have also trained in Naturopathy, Nutrition, Egyptian healing, Rahanni, and Quantum healing — always following the thread of what feels true.

In 2025 I dedicated as a Priestess Oracle of the Goddess through the Way of the Oracle with Sally Pullinger. It was one of the most significant moments of my spiritual journey, and it deepened the way I hold space for others in ways I am still discovering.

I hold Verified Practitioner status with the Reiki Council, and Heartwood Healing is one of a small number of UK schools to offer a Reiki Council Verified Training Programme with a pathway to CNHC professional registration.

But more than any of that — I am someone who genuinely loves this work. After thirty years, it still moves me. I hope you can feel that when you step through the door.
