A Sacred Space Holder and Oracle

I am not simply a Reiki practitioner or a Reflexologist. I am a sacred space holder and an Oracle — dedicated as an Oracle of the Goddess in November 2025, in a ceremony that marked one of the most significant milestones of my spiritual journey.

As an Oracle, I hold the space for what needs to emerge — in healing sessions, in ceremony, and in the sacred work of teaching. I work with the wisdom of the divine feminine, creating the conditions for people to return to their own inner knowing, their own true nature. Everything I offer at Heartwood Healing is rooted in one intention: helping you remember who you are.

Whether you come for a session, a training, or the Munay Ki Rites, you are entering a space that is held with care, reverence, and deep respect for the wisdom you already carry within you.

A 30-Year Journey

My path with Reiki began in 1998. I trained in the Western tradition, received my Reiki Master training in India in 2001, and spent many years teaching and practising from that foundation. But as time went on, I felt a deep pull to understand the roots of this beautiful system — to discover how Mikao Usui, the founder, originally taught Reiki in Japan in the 1920s.

That search led me to the traditional Japanese lineage — Usui Reiki Ryōhō — and eventually to completing my Shinpiden (Master Teacher) training with Frans Stiene at the International House of Reiki. It changed everything about how I teach and practise.

A Philosophy, Not Just a Technique

In the West, Reiki is often taught simply as something you “do” to someone on a massage table. In the traditional Japanese system, Reiki is foremost a spiritual practice for oneself. The word Reiki translates as spiritual energy — our true essence. It is not something outside of us that we channel; it is something we are.

Reiki begins with your own practice. Before we support others, we cultivate presence, compassion, and awareness within ourselves. This understanding sits at the heart of all my teaching.

A Verified Programme

Heartwood Healing is one of a small number of schools in the UK to offer a UK Reiki Council Verified Training Programme in Traditional Japanese Usui Reiki Ryōhō. Students who complete the Professional Practitioner pathway and meet the required standards are eligible to apply for CNHC registration.

Two Lineages, One Practice

I hold both the Western Usui-Takata lineage and the Traditional Japanese Usui Reiki Ryōhō lineage — meaning I can teach from a place of genuine breadth and depth, honouring the tradition while making it accessible and alive for students today.

Small Groups, Real Support

I teach in small groups to preserve the intimacy and integrity of the teachings. Every student receives ongoing support through mentoring and Reiki Shares long after their course ends. The journey does not stop when the workshop finishes.
